Chase At The Rainbow Bridge

Hello friends!

It saddens me to inform you that on the morning of June 15, 2010, at 2:45 am (CST) our beloved Chase passed away at home of a massive seizure.
He was 10 years, 4 months and 1 day old.

We believe the seizure (brain damage) was brought on by a flea/tick preventative, Frontline-Plus which I had applied only two evenings before.
Though we have used Frontline for years, we only recently discovered the possible adverse side effects, much too late for our Chase.   He fought the 'good fight' for MANY years, but now he has reached the Rainbow Bridge, where he can now run free with no limitations or illness.

We brought Chase to Pet Cremation Services of Minnesota.  His ashes were scattered in the locations he loved, the backyard, his favorite field, in Des Moines Pier near Seattle, Washington, Vancouver, Canada, my native Nebraska, and along a trail we took for various road trips out west. Chase travelled to 29 US states and 2 provinces in Canada. The remainder of his ashes is encased in a maple wood photo urn.

It will take time but we shall overcome our grief.  Death is a part of life. We are so grateful for the 6 1/2 years we had with Chase. He brought such joy and quality to our lives and I know he felt the same, about us. He had such a STRONG will to live!  We will miss him and our hearts ache, but we know Chase is in a better place.

Take care,

Laurel

P.S.  This 'stately' photo of Chase was taken in the fall of 2007, before the laryngeal paralysis.  A handsome cuss...wasn't he?
This photo is encased in the front of his urn.
