2006 DS 40th anniversary,

but unfortunately due to 

scheduling difficulties, 

Amanda was not able to 

perform this parody at the 

Costume Gala.

 Oh well...

In the year 1966

everyone watches TV, transfixed

Dark Shadows makes its debut

with Vicki Winters and later Barnabas too

In the year 1795

Barnabas makes Angelique his wife

Josette jumps off a cliff and Vicki is hanged

And the ladies of the night get fanged

In the year 1968

Barnabas really didn't treat Adam all that great

Angelique vamps and Nicholas goes up in flames

Quentin and David start to play the game

In the year 1897

Gregory Trask, Count Petofi, and Evan

are just a few of the villains to beware

and also Quentin when he's covered with hair

In the year parallel time 1970

Cyrus Longworth has a split personality

Quentin's first wife returns from the dead

and sends her sister to the grave instead

In the year 1995

Quentin and Carolyn are the only family left alive

Everyone in town has gone insane

and Collinwood is haunted once again

In the year 1840

Barnabas is once again a hero

He saves Quentin from Judah Zachary's head

but then Lamar shoots Angelique dead

In the year 1841 PT

The Collinses prepare to hold another lottery 

Bramwell and Catherine survive a cursed night

And Melanie suffers from a strange neckbite

Now it has been forty years

of suspense, romance, bloopers and tears

The show has brought us joy

since we were young girls and boys

The years may still fly by

but Dark Shadows will never die

And though Sci-Fi took it away

we hope it will return someday
