SOTW again has the privilege to publish another AWESOME parody from Amanda Trujillo!

 She performed

"Needles and Pins"

 at the Costume Gala on Saturday, July 19, 2008 to RAVE reviews!!!

Amanda is a member of the "Collinsport Players", who perform HILARIOUS skits at the Dark Shadows Festivals!   

Amanda Trujillo is also a founding member of Shadows on the Web's

"Shadow Writers Society".

 

 I encourage all writers of gothic poetry, prose, songs, limericks, etc, to please submit your works to Shadows on the Web.

 

Amanda's parody, which she penned in 2005, sings the praises of Angelique's unique talent in the art of witchcraft and voo doo. Quite the sticky wicket indeed, or in other words...Angelique REALLY knows how to 'stick' it to ya!!! 

"Needles and Pins", is sung to the tune of the same title,the 1963 hit, "Needles and Pins".

Needles and Pins

--First performed at the Dark Shadows Festival in Burbank, 2008.

I saw her today, I saw the face
of the girl Barnabas loves and I knew
I had to run away
and make a voodoo doll out of some clay
to get her out of the way

And now I'll begin
to use my needles and pins
To be Barnabas's bride
Would give me so much pride

Well, I thought it was fate, we were soulmates
and we would never part, but now I see
He loves her more than me
But maybe if she's dead,
he'll turn to me instead
And married we will be

Together for eternity
We could be so happy
That's why I must do her in
I'll use a needle and a pin
to hurt her, I'll hurt her

I never stop to wonder if it's wrong to want her gone
I just can't wait to tell his new sweetheart,

 "So long!"
